    Quick Highlights:

    • New Stealth Black Edition launched in Malaysia

    • The bike is now available in a total of three colour options

    • Remains mechanically unchanged

Honda has launched a Stealth Black Edition of the CBR150R in Malaysia, and this time the changes are purely cosmetic. Priced at RM13,399 (around Rs 3.16 lakh), this small-capacity sportbike now gets a fresh new colour option, giving buyers an extra choice without altering anything underneath.

    What’s New?

The main highlight of the Stealth Black Edition is the new black and orange dual-tone paint scheme. It gets bright orange accents across key areas like the headlight, top of the fuel tank, engine cowl and the tail section. The fairing continues to feature the CBR150R branding, while the engine cowl gets the gloss black Honda logo. Overall, this new shade looks quite aggressive and complements the bike’s sharp, sporty design quite well.

With this new addition, the CBR150R is now available in a total of three colour options. The other two include a clean silver finish, and the iconic Honda tricolour scheme (red, white and blue), inspired by bigger bikes like the Fireblade.

    What Remains Unchanged?

Mechanically, the Honda CBR150R remains unchanged. It continues with the same 150cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 16PS and 13.7Nm. At 137kg (kerb), it remains a lightweight, easy-to-ride sportbike aimed at everyday usability with a sporty edge. It has a golden-coloured inverted fork, and a monoshock. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with a 100-section front and a 130-section rear tyre.

Feature wise, the CBR150R is still quite basic. It gets all-LED lights, dual channel ABS, and an LCD instrument console without smartphone connectivity.

    What About Its India Launch?

In the international market, Honda has been consistent with the updating the small capacity CBR and CB series. In India, the CBR150R and CBR250R were discontinued in 2017, and it's unlikely that they will be relaunched in India anytime soon. Talking about this new update, it is quite simple, but effective. The new black shade adds a fresher, more aggressive look to the CBR150R, while keeping everything else unchanged. For buyers in Malaysia, it just means one more stylish option to pick from.
