New King of the segment
Have owned the new Apache 160 4v carb with rear disc for the past 1 month.
The beast has impressed me from the very start.
Good throttling response , right from the moment you let the clutch go. It stands true to its name, Ready to Race.
Positives :
Good throttling response
Good low end and middle range torque
Stable while cornering
Awesome looks ( even though too similar to 200 )
Buttersmooth gear shifts ( Had my share of false neutrals. But overall impressive )
No vibrations so far ( have not revved it too much since its a new bike )
Enough room for the pillion
Love the brakes in this bike
Negatives :
Disclaimer : Still a new bike . Not yet done with first service. So I am expecting many of these issues to be solved after servicing.
Standstill turning radius is a pain in the arse.
Bike is on the heavier side
Not suitable for short riders ( Have seen my friends suffer especially with the added weight )
Too many false neutrals for my liking
Currently I am getting a mileage of 30 - 35 only. ( Expecting that to change after service )
