The naked small-capacity BMW has received three new sets of colours

This was surely one of the best bits of news from the past couple of weeks as BMW slashed prices to the tune of Rs 55,000 for its BS6-compliant G 310 R. The updated BMW naked receives quite a few functional and engine updates to make the package more appealing. It looks rather attractive now, thanks to the three new colour schemes on offer. Here they are:

Cosmic Black

This is the dark theme version of the G 310 R. Majority of the bike is doused in black with only the headlight cowl, the new secondary tank panel and the ‘R’ logo on the side panel arriving in gloss white. This stark contrast of black and white does look pleasing to most but compared to the other two in the list, it is a rather bland option.

Polar White

Arriving in the same colours as the propeller badge, the Polar White version does offer quite a clean look to the bike. The blue isn’t overpowering, the gloss white plastics work nicely with the black frame and engine, and the chunky gold USD fork just adds to the premium look.

Style Sport

This particular treatment just makes the bike pop. It has been inspired by the one found on the larger F 900 R. What makes it so eye-catching are the red elements like the trellis frame, subframe and alloy wheels. The dark grey-ish black and white dual tone option is just fantastic and the red accents all around just make it seem so youthful.

Our Pick: Style Sport

It definitely has to be the Style Sport. Unlike the other mature and sensible choices, this one really brings out the sporty character of the bike. It is enticing, it is gorgeous, it is unlike anything out there in the market. You would have to shell out Rs 10,000 more for this particular colour, which does sound a bit much. But hey, considering that it would still cost Rs 2.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), it still seems rather affordable.
