The Hornback X1 has a water-resistant 250w BLDC motor paired with a 7.65Ah removable Panasonic lithium-ion battery pack, which is IP65 rated. It also comes with a 7-speed Shimano Tourney gearbox. This electric bicycle's top speed is 25kmph in electric only mode, and offers a claimed range of 45km. The battery takes around 3 hours to charge from 0-80 percent.

This electric cycle has 160mm mechanical disc brakes at the front and rear. The Hornback X1 has 28-inch wire-spoke wheels at the front and rear with tube-type tyres. There is no suspension in this electric cycle.
