TVS Apache RR310 vs 2022 Suzuki GSX250R: Photo Comparison

In India, we have the Suzuki Gixxer SF250. Meanwhile, the Japanese brand has just launched the latest iteration of the GSX250R in the global market. So let's see how the twin-cylinder quarter-litre bike fares against our very own TVS Apache RR310 in images.

Starting with the design, both the motorcycles look quite aerodynamic. However, the TVS Apache RR310 looks a bit sharper thanks to its edgy body panels.

The fascia of the Apache RR310 looks aggressive, and it features twin projector Bi-LED headlamps and a windscreen screen with the Indian flag and a race number (optional). The face of the Suzuki GSX250R mounts a diamond-shaped halogen headlight and LED position lights.

Talking about profile, both the bikes get graphics, and they also feature split seats and an upswept exhaust. Both the bikes feature a sharp rear section that mounts an LED taillight.

On the features front, the TVS Apache RR310 comes equipped with ride-by-wire, glide-through technology, multiple riding modes (Track, Sport, Urban, and Rain), a slipper clutch, and a 5-inch TFT Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster. This console displays turn-by-turn navigation, call alerts and digital documents (any three). The Suzuki GSX250R, on the other hand, gets clip-on handlebars, a five-way adjustable front brake lever, and a back-lit LCD instrument cluster that displays a tachometer, speedometer, time and gear position. However, this console misses out on smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.

The Apache RR310 is powered by a 312.2cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that churns out 34PS and 27.3Nm (Sport and Track mode) and 25.8PS and 25Nm (Urban and Rain mode). The 2022 GSX250R draws power from a 248cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled that delivers 25PS and 23.3Nm.

Talking about the suspension setup, both the bikes use a monoshock at the rear. However, the Apache RR310 employs an USD fork up front while the GSX250R gets a telescopic fork. The TVS Apache RR310 is also offered with two optional kits: Dynamic and Race. The Dynamic kit gets adjustable suspension for both ends and a brass coated chain, whereas the Race kit offers higher0set toothed footpegs and lowered handlebars.

For braking, both the bikes employ a disc at both ends that is further assisted by dual-channel ABS. Both the bikes employ 17-inch wheels. The Apache RR310 uses Michelin Road 5 tyres whereas the GSX250R gets tubeless tyres from IRC.

The TVS Apache RR310 is priced at Rs 2,59,990 (ex-showroom Delhi). Its optional Dynamic kit costs Rs 12,000 while the Race kit and the Race Replica Graphics will set you back by an additional Rs 5,000 and Rs 4,500 respectively. On the other hand, the Suzuki GSX250R is priced at USD 4,999 (around Rs 3.86 lakh), which as you can see is significantly more than the flagship TVS offering.

In India, the TVS Apache RR310 offers quite bang for the buck. Meanwhile, the chances for the Suzuki GSX250R to arrive at our shores are pretty bleak.
