Bajaj motorcycle sales went up 66 percent in July

Bajaj Automobiles Ltd.(BAL), India's one of the leading two-wheeler producer, recorded its highest ever sales up 66 percent to 2,79,781 units of two-wheelers in July 2010 from 1,68,163 units in the same period of last year. The company has also increased exports market sales from 68,585 units in July 2009 to 1,06,794 units of motorcycles in July 2010, went up by 56 percent. While production constraints continued to limit sales of motorcycle and three-wheelers, "export sales continued to be ahead of plan," BAL said.

 

Besides, Bajaj Auto's motorcycles sales during the months between April-July period raised 70 percent and also exports sales of the company  by 74 percent in the market. On the other hand, Bajaj Auto posted a 60 percent growth three-wheeler sales in the previous month to 38,634 units, compare with 24,104 units in the same month of 2009. Three-wheeler sales also increased 59 percent during the April-July months. The overall sales of Bajaj Auto has stood at 65 percent to 3,18,415 units from 1,92,835 units in the same period of year ago.
