With its latest launch, Triumph Motorcycles now has the entire Bonneville range on sale here in the country
AFter unveiling it in April this year, Triumph has finally launched the BS6 Street Scrambler 900 in India at Rs 9.35 lakh. The British marque already has the limited-run Sandstorm Edition on sale here at Rs 9.95 lakh ( both ex-showroom).
The BS6 Triumph Street Scrambler 900 comes with a bunch of updates, including a new LED headlight, a new aluminium number board, updated brushed aluminium headlight brackets, and a new heel guard. Even the 790mm seat has now been updated with a mix of leather and textile. These aside, there are no other major changes to the styling.

The Street Scrambler 900 continues to be powered by the same 900cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, but it is now BS6-compliant. It produces 65PS and 80Nm, the same as before. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox aided by a slip-and-assist clutch.
Triumph has equipped the new Scrambler with three riding modes: Road, Rain and Off-road. Standard electronic aids on the bike include dual-channel ABS and switchable traction control.
Triumph’s most affordable Scrambler comes with a 41mm telescopic fork and preload-adjustable dual shocks, both offering 120mm travel. Dropping the anchor is a 310mm single disc at the front (with 4-pot Brembo caliper) and a 255mm disc at the rear (with a 2-pot Nissin caliper). Like a true-blue scrambler, the bike comes with 19/17-inch spoke wheels shod with Metzeler Tourance tyres. At 223kg (kerb), it is a bit on the heavier side.
With the launch of the BS6 Triumph Street Scrambler 900, the bike maker’s entire Bonneville portfolio is now on sale in India. At Rs 9.35 lakh, the new bike is Rs 60,000 more expensive than the limited edition model. This British Scrambler faces competition from the Ducati Scrambler, which is priced at Rs 8 lakh onwards.
