The KTM 250 Duke is powered by a 248.8cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine. It generates 30PS at 9000rpm and 24Nm at 7500rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. The assist function reduces the clutch lever effort whereas the slipper clutch ensures the rear wheel does not lock up during hard downshifts. The bike looks good and has comfortable ergonomics, it also comes with better hardware compared to its rival, which explains its expensive price tag. The quarter-liter Duke does feel a bit more exciting than them, but it doesn’t mean that its counterparts are bad. So if shelling out Rs. 2.17 Lakh doesn’t bother you much, then you could go for the 250 Duke. Moreover, for a better understanding of compatibility and driving comfort, we would suggest you take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for the dealership details.
