KTM 125 Duke Highlights
Update: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the country is on lockdown and hence, the manufacturing of all the two-wheelers from KTM brand has been suspended until further notice. Production is likely to resume from April 15 onwards, if the pandemic situation dies down before that.
The KTM 125 BS6 has been launched at Rs 1,38,041. This makes the BS6 KTM 125 Duke more expensive than the BS4 KTM 125 Duke by Rs 5,541. The KTM 125 Duke BS6 will be available in the market from the end of February 2020.
The KTM 125 Duke BS6 gets a BS6-compliant 124.7cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which generates the same power and torque as before. It produces 14.5PS at 9,250rpm and 12Nm at 8000rpm. The motor continues to be paired with a 6-speed transmission.
The underpinnings have also remained the same. It continues to employ WP inverted front fork, WP monoshock. Brakes are unchanged too. The motorcycle comes to a halt using a 300mm front disc with radial caliper and a 230mm rear disc, with single-channel ABS as standard. The Austrian bikemaker says the motorcycle’s weight has gone up only slightly from 141kg dry to 141.4kg in the BS6 model.
The motorcycle retains the same colour scheme and bodywork as the BS4 model. However, instead of a white, orange and black engine cowl, the bike gets a black unit, which looks less sporty than before. It competes with the Yamaha MT-15 BS6, which was unveiled recently.
