Selecting between Bajaj Pulsar 220F and KTM 200 Duke would depend on several factors such as your budget preference on the segment, features required, engine options, brand preference, etc. The design update has given the KTM 200 Duke a new lease of life. Also, the fact that the new BS6-compliant motor does not lose out on performance almost makes it feel like a win-win. That said, the substantial hike in price means it is now more expensive than larger motorcycles such as the Suzuki Gixxer 250. However, when it comes to thrills, the KTM 200 Duke delivers it in spades. It looks sharp and aggressive, still great performance for a 200cc bike even today, now gets dual-channel ABS. On the other hand, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F, despite its age, still remains an aspirational motorcycle for Indian buyers given its performance and features. The BS4 motor isn’t the most refined one out there, so we expect Bajaj might have ironed out that issue in the BS6 version. However, it’s high time that Bajaj rolled out its successor. Moreover, for a better understanding of performance and riding comfort, we would suggest you take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.

    Q.

Is the seat increased from previous model?

    • Bikedekho experts
    • on 13 Jul 2021

Yes, the older model’s seat height was already on the higher side, but at 823mm, the seat height on the BS6 model has increased by 5mm. That along with the now wider seat might make it a little difficult for shorter folks to plant their feet on the ground. Since we had limited time with the motorcycle, we will reserve our judgment on how comfortable the pillion seat is for later. Read more -2020 KTM 200 Duke BS6: First Ride Review.
