About Benelli TNT 25
March 30, 2016: Benelli has launched its much-awaited 250cc motorcycle, TNT 25 in India in December last year. The bike is imported via Completely Knock Down (CKD) route and is assembled locally at DSK Motowheels facility near Pune. It is introduced in two variants, i.e. Standard and Premium trim. It is the cheapest offering in the country by Benelli and is the first bike in the company’s portfolio that features a single cylinder engine. DSK-Benelli’s new 250cc machine takes on the likes of Mahindra Mojo and KTM Duke 390. It is available in two colors namely: Rosso & Bianco. TNT 25 STD has priced at Rs. 1.68 lac while the premium trim is priced at Rs. 1.75 lac (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).

TNT 25 Expert Review
DSK-Benelli rolled out its most affordable entry-level performance bike, TNT 25, in India. Like the other Benelli’s machine, it is also assembled locally via completely Knocked Down (CKD) units. It is the company’s first machine to the Indian lineup that house a single cylinder engine and also available
in two variants, Standard and Premium trim. This smallest displacement motorcycle is powered by a 249cc, single cylinder, 4 strokes, DOHC, liquid cooled engine that comes linked to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. The newly built power plant has an Electronic Fuel Injection System (EFI) and uses a Multi-disc clutch for power transmission.
Built on a exposed trellis frame, the quarter-litre motorcycle shares its visuals with its elder mate and also sports various street fighter like features that consists of exposed body frame, minimal bodywork and a sculpted fuel tank. The front profile of the bike features a sharply designed headlamp and the clear lens turn indicators are stacked just below it. The twin rear view mirrors are fitted impressively at the handlebar. It has a nicely crafted, semi-digital instrument cluster. Talking about the rear, it features a keen rear tail lamp light and a black colored grab rail for pillion safety. The clear lens turn blinkers are fitted at the rear fender.
Design
Benelli TNT 25 is the entry-level naked sportbike and shares its design cues with its elder sibling TNT 300. At the front, the bike features a keen headlamp section and the clear lens turn blinkers are integrated just below it. It has been fitted with a sharply crafted muscular fuel tank of 17 liters capacity that provide an upright riding posture to the rider. The instrument cluster of the bike is easy to read and display the information about digital speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, gear indicator and an analogue tachometer. Furthermore, it comes with a well-padded sporty split seat that ensures an optimum comfort for the rider as well as the pillion. Coming to the rear, it has been furnished with a sharp rear tail lamp light and clear lens turn indicators are fitted at the rear fender.
Bolted on a exposed trellis frame, this naked street bike has an overall body dimension of 2080 mm in length, 810 mm in width, 1125 mm in height along with a wheelbase of 1400 mm that offers it a respectable stance on the street. It has a minimum ground clearance of 160mm ensures stability while cornering. The total kerb weight of the machine is 159 kg.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
TNT 25 is propelled by a 249cc, 4-stroke, 4 valves, DOHC, liquid cooled engine that comes mated to a 6-speed transmission. The powerful mill belts out 28.16 Bhp of power @ 9800 rpm along with 21.61 Nm of torque @ 8000 rpm. The motor uses Multi-disc clutch assembly in the oil bath for power transmission and uninterrupted power delivery. The fuel injected mill has a compression ratio of 11.2: 1 and a power oriented bore x stroke ratio of 61.2 mm x 72 mm.
Handling & Ride Quality
Benelli TNT 25 runs on 110/70 - 17 front and 150/60 - 17 rear tubeless MRF tyres that are further mounted over an elegant alloy wheels. On the other hand, the premium trim variant rides on 110/70 - 17 front and 150/60 - 17 rear tubeless Metzeler tyres. The bike is retarded by a hydraulic disc brakes fitted at the both ends. The suspension system is consists of an Inverted telescopic fork at the front and Hydraulic Mono shock absorber at the rear that ensures a smooth and comfortable ride for the rider as well as the pillion.
Features
The bike is equipped with a keen headlamp that brighten up the road very well at the night and offers a good visibility. It employs Inverted telescopic forks as its front suspension and hydraulic mono shock absorber as its rear suspension that gulps the harshness of the terrains and provide a smooth yet comfortable ride.
