Benelli Leoncino 800 Highlights
Sources suggest that Benelli will be launching the TNT 600i in India by mid-2021. The manufacturer could even introduce other larger capacity motorcycles like the Benelli 600RR, TRK 800 and Leoncino 800 in the latter half of 2021. Details here.
We have got our hands on some exclusive information about the engine specifications and other details of the Benelli Leoncino 800. The motorcycle is powered by a Benelli 752S-derived 754cc parallel twin liquid-cooled engine. However, in the neo-retro bike, the motor makes slightly more power. It produces 81.5PS at 9000rpm and 67Nm 6500rpm. The engine is Euro 5-compliant and works in tandem with a 6-speed transmission linked to a final chain drive.
The motorcycle is built on a trellis frame with Marzocchi 50mm inverted fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. It also features premium braking hardware - dual 320mm discs up front grabbed by Brembo radial calipers and a 260mm rear disc. Benelli offers dual-channel ABS as standard. The bike rolls on spoke wheels with tubeless Pirelli MT60 RS dual-purpose tyres. Other notable features include TFT screen with directional buttons on the switchgear, all-LED lighting system and a standard centre stand. Benelli says the Leoncino 800 will be available internationally by mid-2020, so expect the bike to be launched in India around October 2020. It is likely to cost around Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom).
