About Triumph Speed Triple
November 03, 2015: Recently, the upgraded version of the Triumph Speed Triple R has been spotted at a dealership before its official launch. Expectedly, the manufacturer is planning to launch it in 2016. The bike will undergo few changes including new radiator side panels, the new fuel tank, re-designed seat and a newly designed under-belly pan. Along with various safety and advanced features including traction control, electronically ride-by- wire system and multiple engine modes. A unit of bike that holds the ‘R’ badge imported to India by British motorcycle brand for the Automotive Research Association of India(ARAI) homologation. R badge only gets mechanical difference from the ongoing standard version. The new model of Speed Triple R will be houses a 1050cc, liquid cooled engine that is expected to churn out 140 bhp of power.

The British manufacturer presented a scrappy naked motorcycle christened as Triumph Street Triple last year along with 10 other machines. With the launch of this bike, it became a another choice for buyers who used to opt machines like: Kawasaki Z800 and Ducati Monster 795. The bike is powered by a 675cc, liquid-cooled
motor that comes mated to a six-speed constant mesh gearbox. It churns out a peak power of 77.7bhp at 11,050rpm with a maximum torque of 57 Nm at 8,375rpm. Apart from this, it is configured with an electronic sequential fuel injection system along with SAI that offers a crisp throttle response with a superb flow of power.
The bike runs on 120/70-ZR17 front and 180/55-ZR17 rear tyres with elegant alloy wheels. The manufacturer configured it with the dual 310mm disc brakes with Nissin twin-piston calliper at the front and a single 220mm disc brake with Brembo single piston calliper at the rear. To provide a handy, smooth and comfortable ride, the bike is well furnished with Kayaba 41mm upside down forks at the front end along with Kayaba monoshock at the rear end.
The body structure of the bike is designed sharply that give it an aggressive behavior. The front section of the bike has dual rounded headlamp merged with a small visor that provide it a decent appearance.
