Triumph Rocket 3 R Highlights

Triumph has launched the new Rocket III R in India at the India Bike Week. It is priced at Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The bike is essentially all-new with a new motor, new features and new underpinnings. Triumph sells two variants of the Rocket 3 abroad: A hardcore R variant and a touring friendly GT variant. We get the R variant for now and the GT might be launched at a later date. 

It is powered by a larger 2500cc inline triple motor that puts out 167PS and a massive 221Nm of torque. It also gets a host of rider aids like ride-by-wire, four rider modes  (Rain, Road, Sport and Rider), cornering ABS and traction control. The new Rocket III also gets a lighter aluminium frame, fully adjustable Showa suspension, Brembo Stylema brake calipers and Avon Cobra Chrome tyres.

The Rocket 3 competes with the Ducati Diavel
