Ducati Diavel Design
The Ducati Diavel gets power cruiser styling and its LED DRLs give the bike a sleek look. The Diavel’s fuel tank extensions are essentially the air-intakes, and they merge beautifully in the design, giving the motorcycle a good road presence from the front. The taillight has a honeycomb textured cowl, and looks quite nice. We think that the ‘Ducati Red’ colour scheme goes very well with the bike’s design. Apart from this, the single-sided swing arm with machine-cut alloy wheels give the bike a distinct look.
Ducati Diavel Engine
The Ducati Diavel is powered by a 1,158cc, liquid-cooled, V4 engine that produces 168PS at 10,750rpm and 126Nm at 7,500rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox that comes with a bidirectional quickshifter and a slip-and-assist clutch.
Ducati Diavel Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
The Ducati Diavel gets a 50mm fully-adjustable inverted fork and a fully-adjustable monoshock. It gets 330mm dual disc brakes at the front with Brembo Stylema calipers and a 265mm rear disc brake, with dual-channel ABS as standard. The bike has 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 120-section front and 240-section rear Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tubeless tyres. The bike has a seat height of 790mm and has a 20-litre fuel tank. The bike weighs 236kg (kerb).
Ducati Diavel Features
It comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. It gets a lot of riding aids like launch control, ride modes, power modes, traction control, wheelie control, slide control, engine brake control and pit limiter. The bike also gets backlit switches, dynamic turn indicators and an emergency brake light.
Ducati Diavel Competition
The Ducati Diavel directly rivals the Harley Davidson Fat Boy and the Triumph Rocket 3. The Harley is the most expensive among these, followed by the Ducati and then by the Rocket 3.
