The 2022 iteration of the SH350i looks a little snazzier with the inclusion of two Sporty Edition variants

  • The updated Honda SH350i gets a 29.23PS/32Nm 330cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine.
  • Packs modern tech, including traction control, Smart Key, USB type-C port, and ABS.
  • Offers a claimed mileage of 30kmpl.

The Honda SH350i received a massive update at the end of 2020, complete with a bigger engine and a redesigned bodywork. Now, Honda has unveiled the 2022 SH350i, armed with subtle updates in the form of two new ‘Sporty Edition’ colour variants: Pearl Falcon Gray and Mat Blacky Gray Metallic.

The two  feature matte grey wheels with red and grey rim stickers, blacked-out front fork, engine cover, and grab rail (with integrated tail rack), a premium seat cover with red stitching, the ‘Honda’ logo in red on the apron, and red SH logo on the side panels. Additionally, Honda will continue offering the standard variant in Pearl Cool White, Mat Carnelian Red Metallic, Mat Ruthenium Silver Metallic, and Black. The Pearl Splendor Red will be discontinued.

The Honda SH350i continues with the 330cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled, counterbalanced engine. It churns out 29.23PS at 7,500rpm and 32Nm at 5250rpm, linked to a variomatic transmission. The engine is enhanced with a switchable traction control system for extra safety. Honda claims the HS350i offers a mileage of 30kmpl and a range of over 270km (thanks to the 9.1-litre tank), decent figures for a scooter in this segment.

The scooter’s tubular steel underbone frame is linked to a 35mm telescopic front fork, has twin rear shock absorbers, and rolls on large 16-inch alloy wheels (wrapped in 110-section front and 130-section rear tubeless tyres). Both ends get a 256mm disc brake with dual-channel ABS as standard.

Other notable features include LED headlamp and tail lamp, LCD instrument cluster with mileage indicator, type-C USB port under the seat, hazard lamps, Smart Key, and an optional 35-litre top box.

Honda hasn’t announced when the scooter will arrive at dealerships, but we reckon next month. The company will not be bringing this scooter to India, but in a related development, it has been working on an electric scooter specific to the country. In fact, the manufacturer has been testing the battery packs here. In the global space, the Honda Elite 125 has been recently launched in Brazil. A fleeting look will make you feel as if it’s the Grazia 125 on steroids.
