The Triumph Trident 660 has witnessed its first price hike

Triumph India has hiked the price of its most affordable bike, the Triumph Trident 660 by Rs 50,000, bringing its ex-showroom price to Rs 7,45,000 (ex-showroom India). This is the first price hike for the Trident after it was launched at an introductory price of Rs 6,95,000 (ex-showroom India) back in April 2021.

Despite the price hike, it still remains the most affordable Triumph bike in the country, and also offers decent value for money considering its features like Road and Rain riding modes, switchable traction control, all-LED lighting, and even a GoPro-ready smartphone-compatible TFT instrument cluster.

To recall, the Trident is powered by a 660cc inline triple engine producing 81PS and 64Nm, linked to a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch. It also gets premium suspension from Showa, Nissin brakes and Michelin Road 5 tyres.

Its primary rival, the Kawasaki Z650, may be a lot less expensive at Rs 6,24,000 (ex-showroom India), but is devoid of fancy electronic aids. More importantly, it gets one less cylinder, and consequently, offers lesser performance. Another alternative is the Honda CB650R, and though the inline-four Japanese neo-retro looks gorgeous, it’s way too expensive at Rs 8,68,692 (ex-showroom Gurugram).
