In an attempt to make it more modern, Royal Enfield doesn’t seem to have changed what the Bullet always stood for

Right before its September 1 launch, a quick walkaround of the 2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has surfaced online! Check it out here:

Although the video doesn't delve into exhaustive details, it gives us a good view of the next-generation Bullet 350 (excluding spy shots). Its distinct Bullet identity is confirmed with the broad single-piece seat and slightly bigger fenders. The absence of a headlight visor identifies this as the mid-tier Bullet model. A closer inspection reveals updated switchgear, a novel semi-digital console, and the absence of a kick-starter, designating it as the J-series Bullet. A significant addition is the 349cc engine, generating 20.4PS and 27Nm, mirroring the specifications found in the Meteor 350, Hunter 350, and Classic 350 models.

Notably, the video mentions the imminent arrival of a 500cc and an Electra variant of the Bullet. However, this information is not accurate; Royal Enfield included it in the teaser merely for contextual understanding. Additionally, the Electra's distinctive feature in the past was its electric start capability. With the kick-start feature now absent, reintroducing the Electra variant doesn’t make sense.

The new Bullet 350 is all set to arrive tomorrow and we think Royal Enfield will price it at around Rs 1.80 lakh, ex-showroom. Its primary rival then, will be the Benelli Imperiale 400. Budget-friendly alternatives include the Yamaha FZ-X and the Kawasaki W175.
