In a bid to capitalise on the rising footfalls during this festive season, Okinawa has announced a bunch of schemes to allure buyers. The company assures a gift voucher worth Rs 6,000 for every electric scooter booking, both online as well as offline. Okinawa has also unveiled a lucky draw contest. Ten lucky buyers will get gifts such as home appliances and one lucky winner will receive the Okinawa R30, a low-speed lithium-ion battery-powered electric scooter worth Rs 58,992.

These offers are valid from October 24 to November 15. The results of the lucky draw will be announced on November 30, 2020. Okinawa is quite optimistic about its market performance this festive season and, in fact, expects sales to go up by 40 percent. Recently, Okinawa announced online booking for its electric scooter range. One can also opt for custom theme hand painted scooters from an array of options through the company’s official website. The unique themes are designed by professional artists using high-quality paints. This should offer a much-needed individuality in the sea of boring EVs. 

Speaking about the offers, the MD of Okinawa, Jeetender Sharma, said, “Due to pandemic, a lot of industries faced slowdown including automobile. However, after lockdown got lifted, we received an overwhelming response from our customers. Now that people are opting for personal vehicles following social distancing, they are getting inclined towards EVs. Witnessing this shift from ICE to EV in the society deserves a huge acknowledgement. The offers from Okinawa intend to share the same spirit with the customers while we together embark towards the larger aim of the pollution- free country,”
