Overview
The Yamaha FZ Blue Flex is the latest flex-fuel motorcycle from the brand. It is priced at Rs 1,24,240 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The motorcycle is powered by a 149cc engine, which can run on ethanol blends ranging from E20 to E85. The motorcycle will be sold through Yamaha’s select Blue Square dealerships in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
Design
The Yamaha FZ Flex fuel looks the same as the FZ Rave. It gets a full-LED projector headlight, and an LED tail light. Additionally, it has a sculpted fuel tank with aerodynamic styling cues, and a compact exhaust gives it a sporty look. The motorcycle is available in a single colour: Metallic Black.
Features
The Yamaha FZ Blue Flex gets a digital display which shows the speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge and clock. It also gets all-LED lighting, a silent starter, single-channel ABS as standard.
Engine and Performance
The Yamaha Flex Fuel bike is powered by a 149cc air-cooled engine, which is compatible with ethanol blends ranging from E20 to E85. It produces 11.7PS at 7,250rpm and 12.8Nm at 6,000rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Chassis, Brakes, Wheels And Suspension
The bike rolls on 17-inch alloys at both ends. It gets a telescopic fork and at the rear uses a monoshock. Braking duties are handled by a 282mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The bike has an accessible 790mm seat height, a not-so-impressive 135mm of ground clearance, a light kerb weight of 139kg and a decent 12-litre fuel tank.
Price and Rivals
While there are no natural rivals, it competes against other E20-compatible bikes like the motorcycle rivals the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, Bajaj Pulsar 150, Honda SP160 and Hero Xtreme 160R 2V. If you are looking to buy E85-compliant bikes in India, then you may consider the Hero Splendor Plus Flex Fuel or Hero HF Deluxe Flex Fuel in the 100cc segment, and the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 Flex Fuel in the more expensive 250cc segment. That means the FZ Blue Flex serves as the middle ground between the two.

- Good for futurstic bikeThis bike is so good for future expenses because it ride on E20 to E85 ethanol. It is not too expensive. It gives nice mileage with E20 Ethanol. We should not panic for E85 Ethanol because it work so good on it. Its cost is also our budget friendly so we can afford it easily for our daily uses.
