Bajaj records highest ever sales in June 2010

India's one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto Indian limited has recorded highest ever sales in the month of June 2010. The company's motorcycles sales has increased by 68 percent from 167,945 units in June 2010 to 282,808 units in the last month. Bajaj Auto has launched an upgraded version of Bajaj Discover with 150cc engine capacity. The company has sold 20,000 units of the new Discover 150 motorcycles in the Indian market. Motorcycle capacity of 300,000 units per month is expected to go on stream from July, Bajaj Auto said, adding that production constraints limited sales in June. Besides, Sales of the Bajaj's three wheelers went up 32 percent at 32,614 units as against 24,731 units in the corresponding period of last year. Bajaj Auto has also registered exports sales growth of 68 percent at 114,024 units compared with 67,726 units in the same month of previous year. The company overall sales for the month stood at 315,422 units from 167,945 units sold in June 2009, a growth of 63 percent. On the other hand, Suzuki motorcycles has recently unveiled their two new superbikes in the auto market that includes Suzuki Gsxr with 1000cc displacement and Suzuki Bandit.
