With the new add-ons, the Himalayan is expected to receive a minor price-hike

The 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan is expected to launch soon as the brand has temporarily suspended deliveries of the ADV bike. The process will resume once the updated model is launched. So, what can we expect from the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan?

New Features

First, the Royal Enfield Himalayan was recently spotted with the Tripper navigation system, the same unit seen on the Royal Enfield Meteor 350. It is a smartphone-compatible, turn-by-turn navigation system that helps the rider with directions to the destination.

More Comfort?

One of the grouses with the outgoing Royal Enfield Himalayan was the position of the headlight metal mount. In its existing setup, it was uncomfortable with taller riders, particularly over long journeys. Spy pictures suggest the entire setup has been pushed a bit forward to make more room for taller riders.

More Vibrant?

Last but not least, Royal Enfield is expected to introduce three new colours for 2021. This includes Pine Green, Mirage Silver, and a new shade of the current Granite Black.

Same Powertrain And Underpinnings.

The Himalayan’s engine will most likely remain unchanged. It will continue to be an air-cooled, 411cc single-cylinder, BS6-compliant motor making 24.83PS of power and 32Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It’ll retain the exact same braking and suspension setup as that of the BS6 model.

Expected Launch And Price?

Considering all the new updates, the 2021 Himalayan will likely set you back by an additional Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000 over the outgoing model. For reference, the current-gen Himalayan is priced between Rs 1.91 and Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Of the current Royal Enfield lineup, we recently rode the Meteor 350 and here’s what we found out.
