TVS Phoenix

Phoenix 125 is a stylish motorcycle that bridges the gap between a utility bike and a performance bike. The bike has an appealing front profile which comprises of a stylish headlamp section integrated with twin pilot lamps and clear lens turn indicators. The fuel tank also looks impressive with a long, compound padded seat that offers comfortable riding experience. Talking about the rear end, it has a stylish tail lamp unit that gels well with the overall body design of the bike. It also carries body colored grab rail and side indicators at the rear. The 125cc motorcycle is 1,985mm long, 740mm wide, 1,065mm tall and has a wheelbase of 1,265mm. TVS Phoenix handles well and steers through city traffic quite easily. It has got a minimum ground clearance of 165mm and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters. The instrument cluster on the bike is completely digital and houses a speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, fuel gauge and odometer along with low battery and service reminder lights.

TVS Phoenix is powered by a 124.53cc, air-cooled, four-stroke mill that comes mated to a 4-speed constant mesh transmission system using wet multiplate clutch assembly. The engine puts out a maximum power of 10.9 bhp at 8,000 rpm with a peak torque of 10.8 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The refined 125cc powerplant has a bore x stroke ratio of 57mm x 48.8mm with a compression ratio of 9.4:1. With this motor, the bike delivers an all-round performance with a decent mileage of 67 kmpl, as claimed by the company.

The bike progresses on 2.75 x 17 front and 90/90 x 17 rear tubeless grippy tyres wrapped on black alloy wheels. The manufacturer has installed 130mm drum brakes at both wheels to provide stopping power to the motorcycle. TVS also offers a 240mm rotor pedal disc brake as an option as an option that further enhances the stopping power of the vehicle. The suspension system includes telescopic forks up front and five-step adjustable, Monotube Inverted Gas (MIG) charged shock absorbers at the rear.

For safety, Phoenix 125 comes equipped with a Vehicle Locator Key that blinks the light of the vehicle on pressing the remote button. This helps in finding the bike at night or when parked at a parking lot. The tubeless tyres prove convenient in case of a puncture by not losing air pressure suddenly, thereby giving some extra time to the rider to reach the destination. A powerful 12V-35/35W DC headlight accompanied by twin pilot lamps brightens up the road well in dark ensuring good visibility. Moreover, the bike gets a pair of hazard lamps as well that prevents any mishap in undesirable conditions such as fog, rain, mist, etc.
