Yamaha Fascino 125, RayZR 125 Prices Hiked

The increment ranges from Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000

Yamaha’s entry into the 125cc scooter segment in late-2019 came as a surprise, and a pleasant one. Because starting from around Rs 66,000, its Fascino 125 and RayZR 125 undercut competition from the likes of the Suzuki Access 125 and Honda Activa 125 by a fair bit at the time. Since then, though, Yamaha has slowly but steadily hiked the prices of the pair, to the point where they’re now nearly Rs 7,000 more expensive than when first launched.

This most recent price hike has seen the Fascino get away with a relatively smaller increment of Rs 1,500, while the RayZR is the worse hit of the pair, with a Rs 3,000 hike. Its Street Rally edition has become dearer by Rs 2,000. As a result, the Fascino has replaced the RayZR to become the most affordable scooter in Yamaha’s stable. It now starts from Rs 72,030, meaning it’s priced on par with its competition. This is, however, bad news since it isn’t as well equipped or powerful.
