Modified Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Royal Brat Looks Ravishing

It features a gorgeous chrome finish, new tyres, new handlebars and more

The cost of customisation is said to be around Rs 1.74 lakh.  Called the Royal Brat, it features custom-made handlebars, a new headlight and more.  It is powered by the same 648cc, parallel-twin motor as the standard Interceptor 650.

Royal Enfield motorcycles are like Lego pieces; people can create almost anything out of these bikes. From a Classic 350 getting a bobber-style makeover to a Himalayan being turned into a scrambler, the possibilities are endless. Needless to say then, custom bike builders were eagerly waiting to get their hands on Royal Enfield’s latest offering, the Interceptor 650. Dubbed as the Royal Brat, this is what the Thailand-based custom shop, K-Speed Customs has come up with.

Unlike the standard Interceptor 650, the Royal Brat features bigger tyre profiles which give the motorcycle a scrambler-like persona. Due to the bigger tyre profiles, K-Speed Customs had to remove the rear fender and also add a custom-made fender at the front. Other changes include a new exhaust system, new headlamp, different body panels, a shorter seat and a new handlebar. 

Mechanically, the Royal Brat remains the same as the standard Interceptor. It continues to draw power from a 648cc, parallel-twin motor which produces 47PS of power at 7,250rpm and 52Nm of max torque at 5,250rpm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a six-speed transmission. The company has tweaked the suspension setup though - the telescopic forks at the front get bigger gaiters, while the rear shock absorbers are different from the standard variant.

According to K-Speed Customs, the modifications on the Interceptor 650 cost them 80,000 Baht (around Rs 1.74 lakh).
