Suzuki entered the Indian two-wheeler market in 1987 in a joint-venture between the Japanese brand and Sundaram Clayton Ltd (now TVS Motor Company). Some of the iconic bikes sold under this JV include the Suzuki Supra, Suzuki Samurai, Suzuki Shogun, and Suzuki Shaolin.

After the JV ended in 2001, Suzuki Motorcycle India was formed, and the brand now has a manufacturing plant in Gurgaon. It currently has bikes in its lineup in India and is known for making refined, sporty bikes that are affordable and easy to live with on a daily basis.

Suzuki’s current brand tagline is ‘By Your Side’, reflecting the brand’s focus on the demands of the everyday consumer.

The brand has an identity of producing machines that offer sporty performance, and that’s usable for city streets. The feature film, ‘Dhoom’ (2014), skyrocketed the Hayabusa’s fame among Indian enthusiasts as it was one of the main character’s primary bikes of choice. The success of the film helped set the cult status of the Hayabusa in the Indian two-wheeler scene and helped Suzuki establish itself as a brand synonymous with performance.

The Gixxer, first launched in 2015, due to its peppy yet smooth performance and agile handling characteristics, carried that brand legacy further forward and has been one of the most important bikes in the sub-160cc, streetfighter segment in India over the years.

Meaningful touring bike

For bike performance, like engine, comfort, reliability, smooth ride. Availability, It is a great bike to compete with peer bikes. Actually, It is under rated. Overall it is in good package with great price tag. Mileage was also as per my requirement. Pros- bike handling is superb. Engine performance is awesome and AVG is great. Comfortable on good roads. Cons- rear suspension could have been better or softer. Headlight through is not at all good need aux lamp. Horn is like scooty. Daily or occasional touring or commuter, looking for fine engine with great average, at very affordable price. Looking for reliable engine from reliable brand with great network of service centre hassle free bike to enjoy long riding. Read More

It offers excellent mileage, a stylish design and is more affordable then other bike in same category making a great choice for daily commuting. The ride has been smooth and enjoyable so far. Bike offers great comfort, responsive handling. Impressive pickup and decent mileage. It's stable at high speed and perfect for daily rides and weekend trips. Yes definitely, I would recommended the Suzuki Gixxer for its comfortable ride, smooth handling, reliable performance and good mileage. It is an excellent bike and value for money in its segment.
