Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE Summary

Suzuki India has recalled a few units of the V-Strom 800 DE adventure bike over a faulty rear tyre issue.

The Suzuki V-Strom is an adventure bike with off-roading capabilities. It replaces the smaller V-Strom 650XT and is the third big bike in Suzuki India’s current line-up along with the Hayabusa and Katana.

The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE has an introductory price of Rs 10,30,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). It is available in three colour options including Champion Yellow No. 2, Glass Mat Mechanical Gray and Glass Sparkle Black.

Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Engine

The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is powered by a 776cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft and makes 84. 3PS and 78Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox along with a slip-and-assist clutch.

Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Features

Equipped with a vertically stacked hexagonal LED headlight, indicators and taillights, it gets a 5-inch colour TFT instrument console with day and night display modes. The bike also has a USB charging port on the left side of the console. The windscreen can be adjusted at 3 different heights, and it has a generous 20-litre fuel tank.

The V-Strom also comes with Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S. I. R. S. ) with three riding modes: Active, Basic, and Comfort. Additionally, it gets a bi-directional quickshifter, ride-by-wire, and traction control. It also offers a G (Gravel) mode and the option to deactivate the rear ABS for your off-road adventures.

Suzuki V-Strom 800DE Suspension, Brakes & Other Details

Built on a new rigid steel frame, it is equipped with a 220mm Showa inverted fork with preload adjustability and compression/rebound damping and has a 220mm preload-adjustable Showa monoshock at the rear. It comes fitted with 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoked wheels, wrapped with 90-section front and 150-section rear tube tyres from Dunlop. The ADV comes with a 320mm dual disc brake at the front and a single disc brake at the rear with dual-channel ABS. The bike weighs 230kg, with a ground clearance of 220mm and a seat height of 855mm.
