Honda XL750 Transalp Design
The Honda XL750 Transalp has a typical ADV design with the tall windscreen, massive-looking fairings and the spacious looking single-piece seat. The bike has taken some design inspiration from the higher capacity Honda Africa Twin and it looks quite good. Honda has managed to get the design right but the bike overall doesn't have the same kind of road-presence as other ADVs in this segment.
Honda XL750 Transalp Engine
The Honda XL750 Transalp is powered by a 755cc, liquid-cooled, inline twin engine which produces 91.7PS at 9,500rpm and 75Nm at 7250rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, with a slip-and-assist clutch. Other than this, the E-Clutch variant of the Transalp is offered with E-Clutch technology that allows rider to start, stop, and shift gears without needing to use the clutch lever. The system automatically manages clutch engagement and disengagement, making gear shifts smoother and reducing rider fatigue, especially while navigating city traffic.
Honda XL750 Transalp Features
The XL750 Transalp gets a 5-inch TFT console which shows speed, time, fuel-level trip and odometer readings. The bike also gets electronic riding aids including a traction control system, wheelie control, and 5 riding modes: Standard, Sport, Rain, Gravel and User. In the User riding mode, the rider can adjust the level of ABS intervention and power delivery.
Honda XL750 Transalp Chassis, Brakes, Wheels, Suspension
The Honda XL750 Transalp gets a diamond frame, and is suspended on a Showa 43mm inverted fork and a prolink monoshock. The bike rolls on a 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear – both spoked. Braking setup consists of a dual-310mm discs at front and a single 256mm disc. The bike has a kerb weight of 208kg. The ground clearance comes to 212mm. The bike has a fuel-tank capacity of 16.9 litres.
