Suzuki introduced its commuter the Suzuki Hayate a few years back. It sports a conventional design with body coloured side panels and decals. Suzuki offers the motorcycle in three different colours - red, metallic grey and black. Being a commuter motorcycle, the bike gets a modest 112. 8cc air-cooled engine which churns out 8. 7PS of power and 9. 3Nm of torque. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a five-step adjustable rear shock absorbers at the back. Braking is taken care of by drum units on both ends. Priced at Rs 52,953, it rivals the TVS Star City Plus and the Honda Dream Yuga.

Overview
Hayate was introduced by Suzuki Motorcycle India few years back. It is designed while keeping in mind the need of office goers and common mass. The bike proves itself as a worthy and all-round performer that hardly fails to provide a pleasing performance in any conditions. Suzuki Hayate house an 112.8cc, air-cooled, SOHC, engine that comes mated with a 4-speed manual transmission system and develops a maximum power of 8.18 bhp at 7500 rpm along with a net torque of 8.8 Nm at 5500 rpm. It uses fuel efficient carbureted engine that returns a decent mileage of 60 kmpl. The bike runs on 70/100-17M/C 40P front and 80/100-17M/C 53P rear tubeless tyres that have a good friction property and ensures premium grip on any kind of terrains. The commuter bike slows down with the help of trustworthy Mechanical, Leading-Trailing Drum brakes at the both ends that work very well in enormous approach. The suspension system is comprises of telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.
The bike features a decent and stunning body design that makes it a high-class and well-dressed commuting bike. The front fascia of the bike is equipped with an edgy and pointed headlamp that offers some genuine sportiness to the machine. The neatly crafted and highly finished fuel tank provides a smooth and comfortable riding stance to the rider. Suzuki Hayate comes with a high-end front profile that is noticed by an elegant and edgy headlamp section. The front fender of the bike is a bit small as against to the conventional ones but looks impressive. It has a neat and simply designed fuel tank that follow a sharp pattern and gives a good riding posture to the rider. The side panels are comes wrapped in matte black color and offers a classy feel. The bike also sports long and smooth comfortable seat that delivers optimum comfort to the rider as well as pillion. Talking about the rear, it has a tough lamp and a black colored grab rail that further boost the personality of the machine.

The motor belts out a maximum power of 8.18bhp at 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 8.8 Nm at 5500 rpm. The VM17 carburetor mill comes with a compression ratio of 9.5:1 and a power oriented bore x stroke ratio of 51 mm x 55.2 mm. With this hardware configuration, the bike can reach a maximum speed of 90 kmph and returns a decent mileage of 60 kmpl.
Handling & Ride Quality
Suzuki Hayate rides on 70/100-17M/C 40P front and 80/100-17M/C 53P rear tubeless tyres that are fitted over elegant black alloy wheels. The braking duties are carried out by mechanical, leading trailing type drum brakes that are mounted at both, front and rear ends. To offer an optimum comfort and hassle-free ride, the manufacturer configured the bike with suspension system that includes telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.
