Overview
Suzuki Bandit is an another offering from the Japanese manufacturer to the Indian lineup and it is imported via CBU (Completely Built Unit). The bike has been designed with the aim to offer comfortable touring instead taking corners at high acceleration, hence it can perform both ability equally with ease. Due to its versatility and amazing body dynamics, it gets a lot of appreciation across the world.
The sports tourer machine is powered by a 1255cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine that come mated to a six-speed transmission and uses hydraulic clutch assembly. The mill is linked to an auxiliary balance shaft that ensures the fewer vibrations and offer a smooth ride.
Talking about the design, It has a semi front fairing that give it a sporty tourer look and it might resemble Hero Karizma and Bajaj Pulsar. At the front, it has an elegant and sharp headlamp along with a clear visor that prevents from the wind blast at high speeds. It has neatly designed fuel tank that fits the overall profile and offer a good riding stance to the rider. Coming to the rear, the machine gets a lavish tail lamp section with a fashionable rear fender. It runs on a 120/70ZR17 front and 180/55ZR17 rear tubeless tyres that are fitted over a stylish black alloy wheels.
Design
Suzuki Bandit built on a classic tube frame chassis. It has an overall body dimension of 2130 mm in length, 790 mm in width, 1235 mm in height that give it an acute appearance. A wheelbase of 1485 mm offers a sharp and agile handling with ease. It has a minimum ground clearance of 135mm that ensures the smooth stability while cornering because of low centre of gravity and mass centralization. The bike gets a semi front fairing that makes it stand among the naked and supersport machines.
The front profile of the bike gets a sharp headlamp along with a classy clear visor that enhance the overall aesthetics of the machine. It has an intelligently crafted fuel tank of 19 liters capacity, hence gives the good riding posture to the rider and long distance ride without any halt. The side panels and engine compartment comes wrapped in black color that offers it a premium appearance. Furthermore, it features an adjustable step up seat that provides optimum comfort to the rider as well as pillion even on the long distance ride. Talking about the rear, the vehicle comes with an elegant tail lamp and fender that adds up some more style to the bike. The instrument cluster of the machine is easy to read and display the information about a digital speedometer, odometer, twin trip meters, clock, fuel gauge and an analogue tachometer.

Suzuki Bandit has been equipped with sticky and long-lasting tubeless tyres at the both, front and the rear that prevent the sudden air leakage in case of a puncture, hence cut down the chance of any mishaps. Furthermore, a fully digital, high-performance ABS also configured with the bike that offer precise braking with superior stability. It has a powerful headlight at the front that lights up the road well in the dark.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
Suzuki Bandit is technically a 1255cc sports-tourer bike that is built with liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-stroke engine. The powerful engine comes coupled to a six-speed constant mesh transmission and uses hydraulic clutch assembly for power transmission. The mill is capable enough for developing a maximum power of 98 bhp along with 110 Nm of torque at 3750 rpm. The four-cylinder, fuel injected motor has a compression ratio of 10.5:1 and a power oriented bore x stroke ratio of 79 mm x 64 mm. With this arrangement, the bike can hit a high speed of 240 kmph.
Handling & Ride Quality
Suzuki Bandit is basically a sports machine, but it fulfills the purpose of tourer machine as well due to its body dynamics. The bike rides on 120/70ZR17 front and 180/55ZR17 rear tubeless tyres that are further mounted over elegant black alloy wheels and gives a good adhesion on the terrains. The beast comes to a standstill with the help of 310 dual hydraulic disc brakes at the front and a 240 mm single hydraulic disc brake at the rear. The braking duties become more aggressive as it employs a digital Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) that work well in enormous approach. Apart from this, it also gets a suspension system that consists of preload adjustable oil damped telescopic fork at the front and link-type coil spring aided oil damped monoshock absorbers at the rear.

December 11, 2015: Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched its litre-plus sporty tourer machine named as Suzuki Bandit along with Suzuki GSX-R1000 five years ago. Suzuki Bandit has a semi-fairing and a sporty body design. The bike gets its power from a 1255cc, liquid-cooled that comes linked to a six-speed gearbox. It has been also provided with some impressive features like ABS and an adjustable seat. It is available in three colors namely: Candy Daring Red, Glass Sparkle Black and Pearl Glacier White and is priced at Rs. 10. 75 lac (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
