Overview
Suzuki Gixxer SF is a bike with futuristic-looking aesthetics, eco-friendly character and thrilling performance. The bike features a fully-faired look, which has been designed to deliver great aerodynamic efficiency and reduce drag and turbulence. The aerodynamic structure not only gives it the similar styling of the top-end Suzuki superbikes but also enhances its touring capabilities. You’d love accelerating this bike and experience the thrill while also keeping safe at the back of your mind, thanks to its safety features especially the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) that prevents locking of wheels in case of hard braking. The features like AHO, clear LED tail lamp, new clear lens indicators, aluminium muffler cover and BS-IV compliant performance-oriented engine makes it a strong contender in the league of 150cc motorcycles in India. The engine is powered by the SEP technology that helps the bike to produce compelling performance numbers without compromising the fuel economy. On the suspension front, it comes with conventional 41mm front forks and 7-step adjustable rear mono shock absorbers. There are discs on both ends that help in stopping the bike instantaneously.
Design
The Gixxer SF is fully faired with aerodynamic styling. It is stylish, sharp and attractive to naked eyes. Carrying forward the majority of the design cues from the naked version, it sports same sculpted fuel tank and rear panels. However, the front is quite sharp with edgy body panels and aerodynamically-crafted full body fairing. The designers have kept in mind turbulence and drag factors while designing it, therefore, the fairing design is such that it prevents rider and bike from the incoming wind and reduces turbulence and drag significantly. The sporty graphics on the fuel tank, the stylish LED tail lamp and the striking paint job add to its trendy character big time. Enhancing its premium look are aluminium exhaust end cover, pinstripe on the fat wheels, clear lens indicators and sharp edges. The headlamp comes with AHO which ensures visibility remains intact regardless of the light quality. There is a smart digital instrumentation that displays Gear Position Indicator, RPM Indicator, LCD Trip Meter and Programmable Gear Shift Indicator. The aluminium muffler cover not only uplifts the appearance of the Gixxer SF but improves exhaust efficiency and reduces noise. The seating position is quite aggressive just like you get to see on the superbikes. The bike doesn’t come with the clip-on handlebar, which is certainly disheartening. Despite its bold fairing, it has a curb mass with ABS of just 140 Kg, which makes it a desirable premium commuter for biking enthusiasts. It is available in three color options including metallic triton blue, glass sparkle black and pearl mirage red.
Features
Suzuki has played its trump card by including ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), which gives confidence not only to the rider but the pillion seated behind. The ABS prevents locking of wheels and maintains stability on slippery surfaces and rough road contours. This supplemental system gives the bike an edge over its rivals and another reason for buyers to look forward to purchasing it.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
Under the skin, the Suzuki Gixxer SF has been powered with SEP technology that enables more power and impressive fuel economy both at the same time. It underpins a single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke 154.9cc engine that churns out a maximum power output of 14.8PS at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is refined than ever and yields a fuel economy of 48.5Kmpl in city traffic and 62.1Kmpl on highways. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, it can hit the top speed of 127 Kmph, which is good enough to thrill any rider. In addition, the engine of Suzuki Gixxer SF complies with the BS-IV emission standards.
Handling & Ride Quality
The bike responds in the desired manner around corners and you’d feel the urgency and responsiveness on offer quite clearly. The suspension assembly fitted is reliable and capable of seeing through the potholes. There is a 41mm telescopic fork at the front while at the rear it has seven-step adjustable mono shock absorbers. On the braking front, there is a 266mm disc brake at the front and at the rear, there is a 240mm disc brake. To handle the bike efficiently on loose and wet surfaces, ABS has been included which performs exceptionally well. No drama whatsoever. The ride quality is at par and looks like the bike is worth spending your hard-earned money.

- Value For Money BikeRiding Gixxer since 2018, It gives mileage between 45-50 in mixed road conditions. Comfort level is average, not good for long riding especially for pillion. The performance is nice. You can ride it at speeds aalso complete in the range of 1,000 to 2,000. A headlightbove 90 km/h confidently because it provides a good braking system. General service is also complete in the range of 1,000 to 2,000. A headlight throw from a halogen bulb is average.Read More1

- Great bike comes with great mileage and powerFirst of all this bike has a great fuel efficient engine, I mean it is just wow! One day, I got the fuel tank filled with Rs. 100 of petrol and I got the mileage of around 60 KMS which is fantastic, Literally, I didn't expect this much mileage. Secondly, the engine doesn't get heated up very soon which makes the long ride smooth and cool. Third, the exhaust sound gives a very sporty feeling. Fourth, it has a great comfy seat which makes the ride comfortable and its pillion seat is also good. Fifth, it has a great braking system with the great tyres which makes the rider feel confident on the twisty and rough roads. Last but not least, it got a great look from the front which makes it perfect. I would surely recommend this bike to someone who is looking for a great sports bike under Rs.1.25 lakh.Read More
- Perfect Value for Money 150cc Bike. It's a complete package: Looks: Blue SF catches attention. Engine: Torque making it fun to ride especially in the mid-range. Mileage: 45+ kmpl, happy with it. Braking: Good, if you know engine braking. Power: Amazing, won't disappoint you except for straight stretches where even a Duke 390 will feel slower. Please don't compare to R15 now, that's a beast in 150cc segment. Pro's: 1. Stylish 2. Comfortable for tours 3. Fuel efficiency 4. Double nozzle exhaust is one of its kind in the segment 5. Good for city commutes, long tours and fun rides on weekends. 6. Service cost is reasonable, and the cost of the spare parts if not cheap is not expensive either. Cons: 1. Poor service at most of the service centers. 2. No considerable upgrades except new color variants every year. 3. Not a high-rev engine, gasket starts leaking if you start red-lining on every gear. Reason to Buy: Bought in 2015 when SF was just launched and at that point of time, there was only 1 other VFM 150 cc bike in the market - FZ but it became overrated with time just like the Pulsars. To be honest, there is still no match for Gixxer in the 150cc segment if you weigh the price and features on offer. My only complaint - service offered at SVC's is a little short from pathetic, and the long wait for 250-300cc Gixxer to be launched.Read More2
