TVS showed an overall year-on-year growth of 38 percent, while the iQube e-scooter’s sales grew almost five-fold!
TVS’ sales report for April 2022 is out, and while the sales of almost all TVS models have witnessed a hike, the sales of the Apache range have gone down massively, while that of the TVS Scooty Pep Plus have also dropped considerably. Here’s a look at the full numbers:
Note: The Apache range comprises the sales numbers for the TVS Apache RTR 160, Apache RTR 180, Apache RTR 200 4V, Apache RTR 165 RP and Apache RTR 160 4V.
While the drop in sales for the Apache range comes as a shocker, one of the reasons behind the steep decline is a lower production volume, presumably due to the prolonged semiconductor chip shortage. Additionally, the TVS Apache range had also received a price hike back in February.
Subsequently, the TVS Jupiter range, TVS Radeon, TVS Sport and the TVS iQube Electric witnessed a massive increase in sales numbers at a time when consumers are looking for economic modes of mobility. All three products are competitively priced and offer a plethora of features, which make them good value-for-money propositions.
