Triumph Motorcycles India is offering two compensation options for the existing Street Triple owners. They can choose between a cash back of Rs. 1 lakh or Triumph accessories worth Rs. 1.5 lakh for free of cost. For those who don't know that why the company is giving this compensation, here is the reason in brief. Recently, Triumph Motorcycles India published new power and torque figures of 7 models on its website as per the ARAI test results, which were quite different than the earlier figures. The company stated that these changes are due to the different testing procedures of our country, otherwise they are the same motorcycles, which are sold in Britain. But the change in the Street Triple is from 106PS to 79PS, which can't happen due to the change in testing procedure. When Triumph officials were enquired about it, they told that the Triumph Street Triple available in India is the detuned Brazil-spec model which, produces 85PS of maximum power.

Since the launch of the Triumph Street Triple, the company is showing the British model's specs, which makes 105PS. They also released an official clarification about this matter. However, the customers didn't satisfied with it and that is the reason for offering the compensation. Now, the company is showing the actual specs of the bike, so the new customers will not be benefited with the compensation scheme.

Earlier, some rumors were emerged that the company is taking back the motorcycle with full money refund or re-tuning the bike for 105PS, which were not true. There are only two options, first is cash back and second is the accessories option, under which the Speed Triple owners can buy cosmetic additions for their bike, aftermarket exhaust systems, riding gear or any other Triumph accessories costing upto 1.5 lakh for free.
