Imagine accessing your electric scooter with your smartwatch, how convenient would that be! Joshua from Vizag has actually done that with the Ather 450X, watch the video below:

This meant that he had to unlock his phone multiple times a day to open the Ather app and report back to his dad. He wondered if there was a more efficient way to do this, which is when he realised he could load the Ather app on his smartwatch. Which is exactly what he did.

Joshua works in Vizag, but is originally from Hyderabad. And back in his hometown, his father uses the Ather 450X, and to know about the e-scooter’s charging status, his father gets in touch with Joshua regularly. To make the process more convenient for himself, Joshua downloaded the Ather app on his smartwatch.

However, this can only work on open source Android OS smartwatches, so Apple and other fitness watches are out of the question. This flaunts the synchronicity of Android and Ather. That said, the Ather app isn’t fully optimised for the watch screen, yet it does the job.
