Two-wheeler Launches In September 2021: Royal Enfield Classic 350, Yamaha R15 V4, Yamaha Aerox 155 And More

With over ten launches, September was good for bikers

The ninth month of 2021 was quite enthralling for two-wheeler enthusiasts in India, as we witnessed over ten new two-wheeler launches. Here’s a quick rundown:

Yamaha R15 V4, Aerox 155 And RayZR Hybrid

One of the highlights of this month was the heavily updated Yamaha R15 V4. Launched at Rs 1.67 lakh, it gets an all-new design inspired from the YZF-R7, a new Bluetooth-equipped instrument cluster, and new colour options, along with traction control!

Alongside the R15 V4, Yamaha surprised everyone by launching the Aerox 155, its most premium scooter for India yet. Besides, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is also the most powerful BS6 scooter in India. It comes with a sporty maxi-scooter design, a bluetooth-equipped LCD instrument cluster, a large underseat storage, ABS, and an external fuel filler cap. All this costs Rs 1.29 lakh and comes in three colours. Here’s a rundown about the Aerox’ colours.

Yamaha also launched the updated RayZR 125 Hybrid, which was more of a price reveal, though, as we already knew the details. In its new version, the Yamaha RayZR 125 packs a new digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth Connectivity (in the disc brake variant only), and an LED headlamp. The most crucial change, though, is the addition of a Smart Motor Generator to the 125cc engine, which has led to a 0.6Nm bump in torque figures. 

2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350

This month began with the launch of the much-awaited 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350. And boy, did it live up to the hype!

For 2021, the Classic 350 gets new seats, subtle design updates, a new instrument cluster (yes, it finally gets a fuel gauge!) and most importantly, a new engine borrowed from the Meteor 350. TVS Raider 125

After a long hiatus of four years, TVS once again re-entered the 125cc commuter bike segment by launching the Raider 125. The TVS Raider comes packed to the gills with features like a colour LCD instrument cluster, LED lights, riding modes, TVS’ idling stop-start system, and CBS. It is powered by an all-new 124.8cc single-cylinder, three-valve engine churning out 11.38PS and 11.2Nm. Even with all this kit, the Raider starts from just Rs 77,500, undercutting its direct rivals. 2021 Ducati SuperSport 950 And Monster

Ducati once again expanded its portfolio this month with two launches: the 2021 SuperSport 950 and the Monster. Both bikes get a new design, better electronics, and are powered by a 937cc, L-twin engine putting out 111.5PS and 93Nm. Owing to the updates, the SuperSport 950 now retails at Rs 13.49 lakh while the Monster is priced at Rs 10.99 lakh. Aprilia’s BS6 Big Bikes

The price list of Aprilia’s big bikes was leaked a few months back. But the official launch took place in September. Aprilia’s BS6 portfolio includes the RS 660, the Tuono 660, the RSV4, and the Tuono V4, with prices starting from Rs 13.09 for the 660s and Rs 20.66 lakh for the flagships.
