    • The sporty 125cc scooter is also available in the Street Rally variant.
    • The mind-hybrid system aids in acceleration from stand-still and lasts for a few seconds.
    • Select variants also get bluetooth connectivity.

After unveiling the Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid range at the launch event of the Yamaha FZ-X back in June this year, the Japanese manufacturer has now launched the scooter in India. The RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid is available in both standard and Street Rally variants. Take a look at the ex-showroom, Delhi price list of all the variants, colour-wise:

Purplish Blue Metallic, & Sparkle Green: Rs 77,330

While the standard model is Rs 3,500 more expensive than the one without the hybrid system, the Street Rally variant with the hybrid tech will set you back by Rs 6,500 over the one without the tech. Yamaha offers Bluetooth connectivity in the disc brake-equipped variant of the standard RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid, as well as on the Street Rally variant as standard. This connectivity enables features such as Ride History, Locate My Vehicle, Hazard Lamp function, Answer Back, and Parking Record for added convenience. However, there’s no turn-by-turn navigation.

The disc variant of the RayZR 125 Hybrid and the Street Rally Hybrid also feature a redesigned, fully digital instrument cluster, and LED headlamp as standard. More importantly, the Hybrid variants get a mild-hybrid system where the Smart Motor Generator (silent starter) doubles up as an electric motor to aid acceleration from standstill. It deactivates automatically three seconds after starting, or when the throttle is cut off, or when it reaches the preset rpm level. This should help conserve fuel and even offer zippier performance in the city. The technology was launched in the Fascino first, and you can find out whether it really makes a difference in the real world in our exclusive review here

With the hybrid tech, the 125cc air-cooled, fuel-injected motor produces 8.2PS and 10.3Nm (0.6Nm more than the one without the hybrid tech). The two scooters tip the scales at 99kg kerb, making them one of the lightest scooters in its segment. Both scooters get a 785mm tall seat and a ground clearance of 145mm. The scooters are equipped with a telescopic front fork, single rear shock absorber, 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel with either a drum brake or a 190mm disc unit up front. The rear comes with drum brakes as standard.

Other notable features that are standard across all the RayZR 125 models include a silent starter, combined braking system, side stand engine cut-off function, a generous 21-litre underseat storage, and stop-and-start system. LED indicators are optional, costing Rs 1,490 for a pair. The Street Rally variant is essentially a more rugged looking version, complete with slightly redesigned apron and side panels, hand guards, and block pattern tyres with a front disc brake.

The two scooters go up against the Honda Grazia 125, TVS NTorq 125, Suzuki Burgman Street, and Aprilia SR 125.

      Excellent mileage
If anyone is looking for a good mileage scooter, this would be the best option you may have in market. Also go with the street rally edition because it looks very good. Yamaha has a bit expensive parts but this scooter parts are quite cheap in price which makes this good option. Overall experience with this bike is good.

      value of money
The Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid offers a 99kg lightweight frame that makes city flicking effortless. The hybrid engine provides punchy low-end torque and impressive real-world mileage of 55–65 kmpl. While sporty and agile, its LCD is basic and the under seat storage is tight for large helmets and finally good for performance.

      The Yamaha ride
This scooter is no less than a bike, as it has 125 cc engine and can run really fast on city roads. I am a student and it really is satisfying and sufficient for me to ride this scooter from home to my classes and college. The mileage is also superb and it does not need much maintenance cost. There is just one problem, that there is no problem.

Good bike for daily use and comfort
I chose this bike because it offers a good balance of mileage, comfort and performance. It is suitable for daily office commuting as well as weekend highway rides. The design is clean and practical. The ride quality has been smooth and comfortable so far. Suspension handles bad roads well and the bike feels stable at higher speeds. Engine performance is refined and mileage is satisfactory. I would definitely recommend this bike to anyone who is looking for a practical and comfortable option for daily use. It is very easy to handle, which makes it ideal for riding in city traffic as well as on crowded roads. The bike feels well balanced, so both new riders and experienced riders can control it confidently without any difficulty.
