We tell you how TVS’ only electric two-wheeler fares in the real world

When you think of Indian electric scooters, probably the first name to pop up is the TVS iQube Electric. After all, it was one of the first indigenous electric scooters to ever go on sale in the country. But in 2021, times have changed, and the competition has never been tougher, thanks to a wide variety of e-scooters. So, to see whether the iQube Electric still makes sense, we took it for a real-world test. Here’s how it fared:

    Acceleration

    Time taken

    0-40kmph

    4.76s (Sport), 4.94s (Eco)

    0-60kmph

    9.54s (Sport)

    20-50kmph

    4.83s

    TVS iQube Road Test Review

The TVS iQube Electric is powered by a 4.4kW hub-mounted motor. It is no slouch off the line, taking just 9.54 seconds to reach 60kmph in ‘Sport’ mode, which is actually faster than TVS’ highest-selling scooter, the Jupiter.

Where it suffers, though, is initial acceleration and top speed. TVS claims the iQube can reach 40kmph in 4.2 seconds. But in reality, it was half a second slower. It also maxes out at just 78kmph, which is a little slow if you want to ride on the highway as you can’t keep riding it with the throttle pinned all the time.

    Range & Charging Time

    TVS iQube Electric

    City

    Eco: 83km (tested)

    Sport: 55km (claimed)

    Charging time (tested)

    80%: less than 5 hours

    100%: 7 hours approx

    TVS iQube Road Test Review

The TVS iQube Electric returned a range of 83km in ‘Eco’ mode, which is, surprisingly, 8km more than what the company claims. While this makes the iQube Electric ideal for daily commutes, the only setback (somewhat) here is the charging time of approximately seven hours should you ever run out of juice mid-way.

    Braking

    Distance Taken

    60-0kmph

    22.16m

    TVS iQube Road Test Review

With a 220mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum brake, the TVS iQube Electric comes to a halt from 60kmph in just 22.16m. This is, once again, better than what the BS6 Jupiter manages and only 0.02m shy of what the Ather 450X, which has a dual-disc setup.

    TVS iQube Road Test Review

In a nutshell, yes, the TVS iQube Electric is still relevant in 2021. It’s a good city scooter for your anda-bread, gym, or office runs.

The TVS iQube Electric currently retails for Rs 1,00,777 (ex-showroom Delhi, exclusive of state subsidy). The Hosur-based bikemaker has also made the scooter available in Pune.

ek modern aur eco-friendly electric scooter hai jo aaj ke samay ke liye bahut hi useful vehicle maana jata hai. Yeh scooter khaas taur par un logon ke liye design kiya gaya hai jo pollution ko kam karna chahte hain aur petrol ke badhte daamon se bachna chahte hain. Iska design simple, stylish aur attractive hai, jo har age group ke logon ko pasand aata hai. TVS iQube me powerful electric motor di gayi hai jo smooth aur noiseless ride provide karti hai. Iski top speed lagbhag 78 km/h tak hoti hai, jo daily city commuting ke liye kaafi hai. Is scooter ki sabse badi khasiyat iska smart technology features hain, jaise ki digital display, smartphone connectivity aur navigation support. Isme lithium-ion battery use hoti hai jo ek baar full charge hone par lagbhag 100 km tak chal sakti hai, jo roz ke kaam ke liye perfect range hai. Charging bhi kaafi convenient hai kyunki ise ghar par hi easily charge kiya ja sakta hai. Safety ke liye isme regenerative braking system, strong body aur LED light.

Tvs iqube review for next buyers
I like the looks and already tried tvs bike so like this brand and the mileage is also very good in this as it is good and my family also like the looks of this scooty so we choose this and very I am very much satisfied with the quality it gives. As about the mileage it is good as it's around 85 km and and the comfort it gives is too good as I also have activa 6g but I feel very comfortable in this. The negative I find is that the accessories are not available at the showroom very difficult to find it's accessories. Yes I highly recommend this scooty as this is far better than the cheap electric scooty that are available in the market. I recommend this to the people who look for looks. Design and mileage. If you want features than there were ather, Ola, vida etc are there but look wise it is best

Because it has good range in city as well as in highway ride or a journey, with good linear performance and comfort. The ride quality of this scooter is very well and its efficiency is the best in the entire category. And the pricing of this scooter is also a good factor to buy it. It gives me easily 115 kms range in both city and highway riding. I was travels many times with my Tvs iQube 3.5 kwh scooter from my Home which id located in Srinagar Garhwal to my Village which is approx 47 km in single side with unconstructed road about 4-5 km and it performs fantastic with comfortable ride. There is only one negative point for me is Its take a little bit more time while charging, this could have been better. If your daily travels is more than 80 km than you should definitely buy Tvs iQube 3.5 kwh variant. Because its battery last more than 110 km range. Or if your daily travel is less than 60 km still it is best choice for you because you charge it.. It last almost a week in this case. And have good practicality of 32 L boot space.

It is the first EV i saw on the road. I have been watching for more than 4 years. I like the way it has been designed, comfort and safety. More over the brand name and my dream to buy the vehicle. To be part of the carbon free world. Very smooth. The head light projection is very good while riding during the night time. Leg space is comfortable. The boot space also very large to keep more items. usually in petrol vehicle the heat generated accumulates in the thing inside the boot area. Now no problem. Definitely i will recommend the bike to my friends and relatives. So far 7 numbers of friends and relatives bought this bike based on my recommended. My relative shared his experience after buying the bike. More convenient for lock trip and to my office.

      All is well
Best bike I had. Then after a test drive I was fully satisfied with the model looks, driving it was pleasure . Was a bit hesitate with average as I purchased the base model. But it was wow it's almost 70 km running in one charge with base model. Really best at all angles. Ride is very nice as compared to other bikes ev. I have another ev also . Really the balancing and the built quality of vehicle is very best. My wife started travelling on iqube, left her car for city driving. Best bike in all fields. Weather in build quality, riding pleasure , average maintenance. I am using it from 2 years . Zero maintained. Not a single issue or problem can say. Premium drive feeling. should go for the iqube, if planning for ev.
