About Aprilia RS 660
The Aprilia RS 660 is the middleweight supersport offering from the Italian manufacturer and it has been recently reintroduced in India. Here are the details.
Engine
Powering the RS 660 is a 659cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine that produces 100PS at 10,500rpm and 67Nm at 8500rpm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
Features
The RS 660 comes with a 5-inch TFT instrument console which shows essential readouts like speed, fuel level, tachometer readings and time, along with odometer and tripmeter readings. The bike features 5 riding modes, 3 fixed and 2 customizable ones. The bike also has a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (that measures the bike’s lean angle) and the Aprilia Performance Ride Control suite which includes traction control, wheelie control, engine braking control, and cruise control.
Suspension, Brakes And Other Details
The Aprilia RS 660 is built on an aluminum perimeter frame and is suspended on a 41mm Kayaba inverted fork at front with rebound and preload adjustability, and 120mm wheel travel. At the rear, it features a monoshock with preload and rebound adjustablity, and 130 mm wheel travel. Braking duties are handled by 320mm double discs at front and a 220mm disc at the rear with Brembo radial callipers. The bike rolls on 17’ inch wheels with Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa 2 tyres. The kerb weight comes to 187kg.
