Both the Gusto 125 VX and Gusto 110 VX, DX variants now get CBS

The Gusto 110 DX CBS is priced at Rs 50,996 while the Gusto 110 VX CBS is priced at Rs 55,660, ex-showroom Delhi. The price hike is Rs 2,816 for the DX and Rs 2,340 for the VX variant. The larger Gusto 125 VX receives a price hike of Rs 2,367, and is now priced at Rs 58,137.

Mahindra Two-wheelers has updated its Gusto 110cc and 125cc scooters with CBS. The mandatory combined braking technology adds a price premium ranging from Rs 2,340 to Rs 2,816 depending on the model. The new pricing of the CBS equipped scooters are as follows.

Gusto 110 DX CBS: Rs 50,996

Gusto 110 VX CBS: Rs 55,660

Gusto 125 VX CBS: Rs 58,137

While the Gusto 110 was available in a vibrant mid-variant called the Gusto RX, Mahindra is yet to relaunch it with the CBS feature. Mahindra also seems to have dropped the lower-spec Gusto 125 DX from its portfolio.

Apart from the addition of CBS, the Gusto lineup retains the same features and powertrain options. Features include a height-adjustable seat, remote flip key, find-me lamps and guide lamp.

The smaller Gusto 110 gets a 109.6cc motor that delivers 8.15PS and 9Nm of torque. Its bigger cousin, the Gusto 125, gets a 124.6cc motor that puts out 8.7PS and 10Nm of torque. Both powertrains get a CVT transmission.

Underpinnings on both scooters include telescopic forks and monoshock suspension. They get 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels with tubeless tyres. Both scooters miss out on a disc brake option and instead use 130mm drum units on both wheels with CBS.

Mahindra Two-wheelers had mentioned earlier that it would be stopping production of its mass-market bikes and scooters in order to focus on its premium products. However, the reintroduction of their scooters leads us to believe Mahindra is not willing to let go of its entry-level offerings.
