The Gusto is Mahindra's first attempt in the 110cc scooter segment and the scoot comes loaded with features

    Overview

Mahindra Gusto is a premium 110cc scooter that surpasses others in the segment with its extensive and new-age technology features. The brand has blessed the two-wheeler with innovative features that you often see in high-end cars, which makes it unique and more than desirable to own. Its practical and useful features make your everyday commute easy while keeping you relaxed and away from worries. Some of the industry-first features that it comes with include guide lamp, find-me lamps, height-adjustable seat and remote flip key. The wheel size of 12 inches is bigger than most of the 110cc scooters available on the market. The wheelbase is quite generous to keep the ride stable and offer you peace of mind. Overall, it is a fine blend of style, performance, mileage and technology features that make it stand out in the segment. In the competitive 110cc scooters market, it rivals against the likes of TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa and the Suzuki Let’s. For the DX variant you need to spare INR 47,680, for the Gusto VX INR 52,320 and for the sports variant RS, you need to shell out INR 49,180 from your kitty (all prices are Ex-showroom, Delhi).

    Design

Mahindra Gusto is an elegantly-designed 110cc scooter, which in combination with technical offerings sits at the top of the table. The front apron gets a tasteful design with Mahindra logo on the belt connecting the clear-lens turn indicators and the alluring plastic grills. The handlebar gets a big headlamp with LED pilot lights and rear view mirrors nicely mounted on the former. The floor board is large enough to place legs for short and tall riders. Plus, it comes with a mind-blowing height adjustable feature that makes even easy for the taller riders to adjust seat’s height according to their convenience. The aluminium rear grab rail is like icing on the cake to its visual appeal. It comes with ample storage space under the seat, retractable hooks and pocket-storage just under the instrument panel for quick storage and easy access. It has state-of-the-art features like find-me lamps that blink on the press of a button on the remote flip key allowing you to spot the ride in the busy parking lot and guide lamp for you find the path in dark. The remote key flip gets a LED panel that lights up for you to find the key hole at night. The instrument console gets an analogue display for the speedometer, odometer and the fuel gauge. The wheels are 12 inches in diameter, biggest in the class and unlike other scooters that sport traditional 10-inch wheels.

Dimensionally, it measures 1825mm long, 697mm wide and 1188mm high. The ground clearance sits at 165mm and the wheelbase at 1275mm.

    Handling & Ride Quality

The scooter offers stable ride not only on urban roads but on the ones with bumps and imperfections, thanks to its telescopic front fork with air-spring suspension and the coil type hydraulic rear shock absorbers. The braking duties on the Gusto are taken care of by the drum brakes of diameter 130mm at both ends. There is no disc option available as yet. The 12-inch wheels are shod with 90/90-12 section tubeless tyres which provide adequate grip and control to the rider regardless of the terrain the scooter rides on. The ground clearance of 165mm helps in crossing over the hard bumps while the wheelbase of 1275mm aids in keeping it still and stable on rough patches.

      Do not purchase this scooter
This is the worst scooter. I mean I have never seen any other scooter with such bad performance it breaks down every single day it doesn’t start in the morning even with a full tank of fuel after having it serviced it still breaks down I’ve had countless problems. I recommend not to buy gusto it’s my only means of transportation and its performance is so bad as to waste money.

      Don't belive the lies.
Hi i am using the Gusto for past 2 years here is my complete experience. At the start i enjoyed the flip key height adjustment and vehicle finder but later it will be just a bulky toy. Here comes the con fist mileage it gives around 32-34 millage at speeds of economy 40- 50 on Bangalore traffic" not 63km milleage" as said.without traffic 40km is the milleage. max speed reacheable 80. It is heavy but ok. some times vehicle will turn off in running mode. some times it takes times to start the vehicle all this will happen after giving for service. service center promised 6 free services but each time i gave service we need to pay a minimum of 660rs @ synergy but that is not it you will end up paying 1000rs for each service some or the other problem arises.so what is the warranty or free service mean no idea. .I would always visit service center with the issues after my each service done. service they provide is of no quality you need to check for screws of silencers bolts before taking the vehicle from service center. which are visible.once they have not fixed the carburettor connection properly so air was sucked vehicle turned off in running almost missed the accident . All i wanted to say, even though vehicle is ok type service workmanship is shit better go for another brands like honda or TVS who provide quality vehicles with service which is important as you will have to visit every 3months or at after 3000km drive.
