The Hero Xoom 110 boasts of sporty looks, slew of features & more!

Multiple teasers and leaks later, the Hero Xoom 110 is finally here and it’s priced at Rs 68,599 for the Xoom LX and Rs 71,799 for the VX variant. The ZX trim, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 76,699. 

What stands out for the scooter immediately are its sharp and aggressive looks. As its latest leaked images showed, its headlamp is a sporty projector LED unit with an H-shaped LED DRL with handlebar-mounted indicators. That said, it does look like a bit of a crossover between the Hero Vida V1 and the sporty TVS NTorq 125. It also features sporty alloy wheels design that earlier debuted in the Hero Vida V1. That makes the Xoom 110 the first ICE scooter from Hero’s lineup to get this rim design.

The powertrain is the same 110.9cc engine as the Maestro Edge, one that makes 8.15PS and 8.7Nm. Apart from that, the Xoom 110 packs quite a lot of modern features. The Xoom 110 flaunts a ‘Corner Bend Lamp’, which basically lights up the apron DRL when the scooter is turned from one side onto the other. Other bits include a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. 

The Xoom 110 is suspended on a telescopic fork along with a monoshock. Braking duties, meanwhile, are taken care of by a 190mm disc brake/130mm drum brake up front and a 130mm drum one at the rear, along with the net of CBS(Combined Braking System). The wheels, meanwhile, are 12-inch ones with 90-section tyres at both ends. 

With the connectivity, the scooter also gets missed-calls alert, incoming call alert, phone battery alerts, low fuel indicator, theft alert, find-my-parking and track-my-vehicle functions as seen on the Hero Maestro Edge 125. That said, it misses out on turn-by-turn-navigation. 

Practical bits include an LED lamp in its underseat storage. It also gets a glove box at the front along with a USB charging port. That said, it does not come with an external fuel filler cap. Its seat too, sits at an inviting 770mm, while the ground clearance is a healthy 155mm. The Xoom 110 tips the scales at just 108kg (LX and VX) or 109kg (ZX trim). The base variant makes do with a semi-digital console and gets drum brakes at both ends. The scooter is available in five colours and bookings for the same will commence from February 1.  

With its prices starting from Rs 68,599 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi), the Xoom 110 rivals the likes of the Honda Dio and the TVS Jupiter ZX SmartXonnect.
