Bajaj Pulsar 200SS reaches an Indian dealership

One of the most anticipated motorcycles for 2015- Bajaj Pulsar 200SS seems to be finally launching. The bike has been spotted standing at an Indian dealership along with the 200NS. It also has a sari-guard, which is mandatory for the Indian market.

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 200SS is a full faired motorcycle, based on the naked sport 200NS' platform. The bike shares the same chassis along with the 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, triple spark ignited engine. It might also get the electronic fuel injection technology, which already comes with the 200NS in some other markets. The motor makes 23.2bhp of maximum power at 9,500rpm and a top torque of 18.3Nm at 8,000rpm.

The Pulsar 200S also shares most of the equipment with the 200NS like the digital-analog console, switch-gears, suspension set-up, spider-web alloys, 100/80 section front and 130/70 section rear tyres, rear tyre hugger and 280mm/230mm front/rear petal disc brakes, etc. Styling of the bike is all new with a very unique and aggressive front fairing having a large transparent wind shield, twin projector headlights and LED day-time running lights. The fuel tank cover, split seat and rear panels have also been redesigned for the upcoming bike. It has new race style clip-ons for a lean forward seating posture. The bike also gets a sporty side-slung type muffler and a very unique tail lamp.

Bajaj might launch the Pulsar 200SS in the first quarter of 2015 with a very reasonable price tag of around Rs. 1.3 lakh. The bike will compete with some other machines in respective segment like 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR, Honda CBR250R, KTM RC 200 and more.
