About Honda CB Twister
December 2, 2015: Honda CB Twister was launched in 2009 and is the first of its kind commuter motorcycle carrying sporty looks. The motorcycle houses an 110cc engine with HET technology and produces a maximum power output of 9 bhp with a peak torque of 9 Nm. Talking about the looks, it sports a sharp headlamp, masculine fuel tank and a raised tail. It was also awarded as the motorcycle of the year in 2011. The bike is same since its inception and has not received any cosmetic update in so many years. The bike comes in four color schemes - Heavy Grey Metallic, Electric Yellow Metallic, Sports Red and Black. The motorcycle is priced at Rs. 50,002 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and gives a tough competition to Hero MotoCorp Passion Pro.

CB Twister Expert Review
Honda CB Twister is one of the most desirable offerings by the Japanese manufacturer in the country. In a country like India, this motorcycle is a perfect buy as it offers best in class styling with a reasonable price tag. The motorcycle certainly improved Honda’s sales figures and is still one of the most popular
offerings in Honda’s Indian lineup.
Twister comes equipped with a 109.19cc, four-stroke, air-cooled engine that comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The motor delivers a peak power of 9 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 8.97 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine uses a viscous paper filter for breathing and comes to live by an easy electric start and a kick start. The bike can reach a top speed mark of 89 kmph and delivers a decent fuel economy of 70 kmpl, as claimed by the company.
The motorcycle gets 70/100-17 front and 80/100-17 rear tubeless tyres wrapped on alloy wheels. The stopping power is provided by 130mm and 110mm drum brakes at the front and rear wheel respectively. The company also offers it with 240mm front disc brake as an option. For comfortable riding, the bike is fitted with telescopic forks up front and spring loaded hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear.
Coming to the body design, this motorcycle certainly has the best looks in the segment, it is very well designed as compared to other commuter motorcycles in the country. The front end features a stylish and sharp headlamp design with a pointed fender. The neatly designed fuel tank looks ravishing with integrated side cowls. The bike has a bare athletic rear that comprises of a half chain case, sporty black grab rail and an all-black sleekly designed muffler.
The bike is 1,972mm long, 742mm wide and 1,075mm tall. Honda CB Twister has a wheelbase and minimum ground clearance of 1,262mm and 180mm respectively.
Design
Contrary to the regular looks of commuter motorcycles, Honda has given some impressive body dynamics to this 110cc bike. The front profile incorporates a sharp headlamp section with a black colored small visor crowned at its top. The fuel tank is chiselled impressively and looks stunning with the integration of side cowls. The analog instrument cluster comprises of speedometer, fuel gauge, trip meter, odometer and the usual telltale lights.The bike has a sporty and well-cushioned seat which provides upright comfort to both the rider and pillion. Coming to the rear end, it carries a black colored rear grab rail that enhances the overall sporty look of Twister.
Talking about the body dimensions, it measures 1,972mm x 742mm x 1,075mm (L x W x H). It has a wheelbase of 1,262mm and a minimum ground clearance of 180mm. It has a kerb weight of 107 kg. With an 8-liter fuel tank capacity, the bike covers a decent range without refuelling and offers a mileage of 70 kmpl.

The motor has a compression ratio of 9.0:1 and uses a viscous paper filter for a low cost of maintenance. With self and kick start as the modes of starting, the setup uses chain drive to transmit power to the rear wheel. The motorcycle can reach a top speed of 89 kmph and returns a decent fuel economy of 70 kmpl assisted by a fuel storage of 8 liters.
Handling & Ride Quality
The bike comes equipped with 70/100-17 front and 80/100-17 rear tubeless tyres that offer a good grip on the road and help improving the ride quality. The suspension system comprises of telescopic forks at the front and spring loaded hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. CB Twister comes gets the stopping power with the help of 130mm drum brake at the front and 110mm drum brake at the rear. To further boost the braking power, the manufacturer offers it with an optional 240mm front disc brake.
