About BMW R nineT
The BMW R nineT BS6 has been launched in India. It is priced at Rs 18,50,000 (ex-showroom India), making it dearer than the BS4 bike by Rs 80,000. Check out all the details in our launch report here.
Powering the motorcycle is a 1,170cc boxer engine churning out 109PS at 7,250rpm and 116Nm at 6,000rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission with a hydraulically operated clutch. The engine is reined in by two rider modes: Road and Rain. Other standard electronics include cornering ABS and traction control. BMW Motorrad also offers an extra riding mode called Riding Mode Dynamic as an option.
The four-part frame is linked to a fully-adjustable inverted front fork and a rear Paralever suspension. It rolls on 17-inch spoke wheels with road-biased tyres on both ends. The BMW R nineT goes up against the Triumph Bonneville T120.

R nineT Expert Review
BMW AG has introduced it’s another variant of roadster motorcycle christened as BMW R NineT in India last year. The bike comes with a cafe rider theme and looking forward to receive a good response from the youth in the country. Apart from this, the company offers a full roadster package with charming looks. The bike has honestly improve the roadster line-up of the country.
BMW R NineT is propelled by a 1170cc, air/oil cooled, flat twin, four stroke engine mated to a six-speed transmission. The motors pumps out a maximum power of 110hp at 7,550rpm with a peak torque of 119 Nm at 6,000rpm, that shaft drives the rear wheels. Furthermore, it is configured with four valve engine that comes to action via Electronic intake pipe injection system. Apart from this, it comes with the powerful BMW mill by which the bike can reach the high speed of 200kmph.
This roadster motorcycle is configured with 320mm dual disc brakes with four-piston calliper at the front and 265mm single disc brake with twin-calliper at the rear end. Moreover, it is furnished with 120/70 ZR17 front tyres and 180/55 ZR17 rear tyres along with spoke wheels to provide it a perfect roadster look. Apart from this, the suspension system consist of an upside-down telescopic forks at the front and spring pre-load hydraulically adjustable monoshock at the rear end.
The motorcycle comes with four unique section frames which provides strong features right for its image. The rear profile of the bike has traditional look with a long fender along with a small and concise tail light embedded in it. The instrument cluster of BMW R NineT is completely digital, which provides plenty of information i.e. Speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, twin tripmeters, low battery indicator, low fuel indicator and low oil indicator. The bike has a fuel capacity of 18 litres. It also has an exhaust system that looks sturdy with twin silencer.
The front profile of this bike has a round headlamp along with golden colored front forks that makes it look even more delicate and stunning. Apart from this, the bike is equipped with split seat along with all black spoke wheels, both the features enhances its look by which it looks even more attractive.
