Top 5 Best-Selling 150-200cc Bikes: September 2025

The Pulsar range has the strength in numbers but the TVS Apache’s sales is equally impressive

The SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) sales data is out for the month of September 2025. There have been some interesting developments, thanks to GST 2.0 coming into effect, as well as the festive season-backed demand. Here’s a list of the top 5 best-selling bikes in India in September 2025, in the 150-200cc segment:

Bikes

September 2025 Sales

Bajaj Pulsar Range

21,803 units (Bajaj Pulsar 150)

33,141 units (Pulsar 160cc-200cc range)

Total: 54,944 units

TVS Apache Range

53,326 units

Honda Unicorn

32,361 units

Yamaha FZ range

16,137 units

Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0

11,695 units

Bajaj’s Pulsar lineup includes the Pulsar 150, Pulsar N150, Pulsar N160, Pulsar NS160, Pulsar NS200 and the Pulsar RS200. Pulsar seems to have strength in numbers, which explains the higher sales figures. Moreover, the lineup also witnessed up to Rs 23,000 price cut due to GST 2.0 norms, and the brand announced several festive offers at the same time as well.

The TVS Apache range, on the other hand, consists of four models: The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, the TVS Apache RTR 180 2V and the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. All of these models are known for their youthful design, peppy engines and innovative features, making them quite popular with buyers who want feature-packed bikes with good performance as well as looks. The Apache range managed to come really close to the Pulsar lineup, despite having fewer models in the 150-200cc category. The recent price cuts of up to Rs 13,200 due to the revised GST rates could’ve been the reason.

The Honda Unicorn solidifies third place with its decent sales performance. Folks love the bike’s neutral styling and refined engine that offers good mileage. The fourth and fifth positions are dominated by the Yamaha FZ range (which includes Yamaha FZ-FI V3, Yamaha FZ-S FI V3, Yamaha FZ-S Fi V4, 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi, Yamaha FZ-X and Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid) and the Yamaha MT-15.  The FZ range is all about style without compromising on mileage. Just don’t expect fantastic performance, though. On the other hand, the MT-15 offers a good balance of performance and everyday usability thanks to its more upright riding posture when compared to its sibling, the Yamaha R15.

Also, if you are planning to buy a motorcycle and are confused as to what you should choose between the MT-15 and the R15, we have explained all the differences between them. The prices of both the Yamaha bikes got reduced due to GST 2.0, and the brand announced several Diwali offers this month as well.

Best bike in all aspects

Best bike in all aspects like safety, riding comfort, mileage, look, reliability, upright poster, road vigibility, city commuting, pickup. One negative is feels under power on highways at the time of overtake. Still it is a good choice if your focus is on mileage, engine refinement, low maintenance and upright poster. Yamaha needs to enhance its power for more selling. Read More
