BREAKING: Yamaha Tenere 4 Concept Bike Unveiled
This mini Tenere looks super rugged and ready to take on any adventure

Quick Highlights:
-
All-new single-cylinder engine
-
Gets KYB suspension and 21-inch front wheel
-
Remains a concept, with no confirmed production timeline yet
Yamaha has taken the wraps off the new Tenere 4 Concept, a smaller adventure motorcycle that could eventually sit in the 400 cc segment below the Tenere 700. The concept was first showcased at the company’s ‘Redefine the Standard’ event on November 2, ahead of its public appearance at EICMA 2026. It gets an all-new engine, a newly developed chassis and proper off-road hardware.
New Engine, But No Details Yet

Powering the Tenere 4 Concept is an entirely new single-cylinder engine. Yamaha hasn’t revealed its exact displacement or performance figures yet, but the A2 classification suggests that it could fall in the 400 cc category. The focus is on delivering strong low- and mid-range torque while retaining enough performance at higher engine speeds. This should make it a suitable package for both everyday riding and long-distance adventure touring.
Off-road Hardware

The Tenere 4 Concept gets a newly developed lightweight chassis paired with KYB suspension at both ends. It also rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, wrapped in Michelin Anakee Wild tyres. The setup suggests that Yamaha is developing this motorcycle with serious off-road riding in mind. Other highlights include a compact titanium Akrapovic exhaust, although it remains to be seen whether this makes it to the production version.
What To Expect?

The Yamaha Tenere 4 is still a concept, and the Japanese manufacturer hasn’t confirmed its production plans or launch timeline. However, if it eventually makes it to production, it could become a more accessible alternative to the Tenere 700, bringing the brand’s adventure-focused approach to the middleweight segment.
