Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6: All You Need To Know

Royal Enfield has launched its first BS6-compliant motorcycle in the form of the Classic 350 BS6. The new motorcycle sports fuel injection and an additional catalytic converter, but that's not all. There are also a few cosmetic updates and feature add-ons. Here are some of the most important details about the new Classic 350 BS6.

Engine Updates

The 346cc UCE motor is now equipped with fuel-injection. Power output has gone down slightly - 19.3PS compared to the previous 20PS, but the 28Nm torque figure remains the same. An additional cataclytic converter has been added on the exhaust downtube and an O2 sensor is present on the header as well, indicating that this is a closed-loop fuel-injection system. As a result of the Fi system, we expect this new motor to be more fuel efficient than before.

New Colour Options

In addition to the previous BS4 model’s colour options of Signals Airborne Blue, Signals Stormrider Sand, Silver, Mercury Silver, Pure Black, Classic Black, Classic Chestnut and Ash, the Classic BS6 also gets two new colours: Stealth Black and Chrome Edition. Both of these were previously offered only on the Classic 500. These two new editions are now the most expensive options in the Classic lineup, and you can find their exact price below.

Alloy Wheels

Yes, certain variants of the Classic 350 will now come with alloy wheels straight from the factory. Gunmetal Grey and Stealth Black are the variants in question, and they get 9-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless rubber. The rest of the variants continue to use wire-spoke wheels and tubed tyres.

Added Features

At first glance, not much is new on the Classic 350 BS6, but a closer look at the cluster will reveal a check-engine light, something that was absent previously absent. Royal Enfield has also thrown in a side-stand cut-off feature as well as a roll-over switch. Furthermore, the brand is now offering 4 years of warranty on the new Classic.

A Price Hike

With all these updates, a price hike was inevitable, but the Rs 11,000 - Rs 14,000 hike seen across the range is a little steep considering that there aren't too many substantial new features on offer. The full price list can be found below.
