Honda CBR 250R booked by 1800 customers in one month

HMSI (Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India), the 100 per cent subsidiary of Japan based Honda Motors is getting overwhelming bookings orders for Honda CBR 250R, from January 1st 2011. The launch of the bike is in April 2011. Within one month, the company has got 1800 bookings for the bike which is a record for the bike.

 


After Kawasaki Ninja 250R, Honda CBR 250R is the second bike in India which is coming with 250cc engine. This bike has been loaded with innovative feature like ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) that make it popular and secure in the segment. The bike will be available in two variants like Non-ABS and ABS. The company will start selling 250cc road-sports bike Honda CBR 250R from April priced Rs 1.5 lakh onwards while ABS variant of the bike will have some more cost than the base variant.

HMSI is planning to spread its wings across country and launching new bikes in India. Currently, the company has Honda CBF Stunner, Honda Twister, Honda Shine and Honda Unicorn popular bikes in India while Honda Activa and Honda Dio are the flagship scooters by the company which are getting buzz response from market.

HMSI is one of the fastest-growing Indian two-wheeler company which has a sales network of 790 outlets (398 dealers and 392 branches) and 389 authorised service centres and now planning to open some more outlets in rural and township areas across the country.

Right now, Honda India is selling its two wheelers in Indian market on triple 'S' (Sales-Service-Spares) base and providing better service for the customers. The company has reported 26 per cent growth in FY 2010-11. After the launch of Honda CBR 250R, the company to bring its younger sibling Honda CBR 150R in Indian market.
