EXCLUSIVE: Royal Enfield Himalayan 822 Nears Completion Ahead Of India Bike Week 2022 Debut

The custom ADV will be flaunting a lot of upgraded parts

The insane Royal Enfield Himalayan 822 that’s being built by Pune-based Auto Engina is another step closer to hooning the streets. This custom ADV is now mechanically ready and is now getting its bodywork done at Autologue Design in the same city.

Auto Engina has now reworked the subframe and raised it by two inches, accounting for the suspension sag because of the bigger engine and the new, wider swingarm that it has given the ADV. Additionally, the suspension setup has been tweaked to handle the extra load (compared to the stock Himalayan). Lastly, the Himalayan 822 gets a different handlebar too.

With the big debut expected to happen at the India Bike Week 2022, the bike’s design should be complete by the end of next week. Unfortunately, most of us won’t be able to ride this one, but with the Himalayan 450 in the works, enthusiasts will get a taste of a powerful Enfield ADV for sure.
