BMW launches RnineT in India at Rs. 23.5 lakh, picture gallery inside

After launching the S1000R recently, BMW Motorrad has now launched one of its most special models- RnineT in India. The retro styled roadster has been priced at Rs. 23.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), while it costs around 27 lakh on-road (Mumbai). Apart from its mesmerising appearance and iconic boxer motor, another special fact about the bike that it was launched to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the company in 2013.

 

 

Based on a steel tubular frame BMW RnineT is a highly customisable machine, with rear detachable chassis design. It comes with three options for each seating and exhaust pipe. Heart of the machine is a 1170cc, air/oil-cooled, boxer-twin, which churns out 108.5bhp of maximum power along with a top torque of 119Nm. The bike is capable for a top speed over 200kmph and claimed to return a mileage of 22.22kmpl in standard conditions.

 

 

Key features of the 2014 BMW RnineT are:

* Ride alone or with a pillion passenger – cafe racer or pure solo riding. The variable rear section allows you to alter the look of your R nineT effortlessly.

 

 

* The light on the horizon is you. Chrome meets stylish black – finished with the finest inner details.

 

 

* You can feel the high quality of the material and the masterfully crafted seams. This is craftsmanship at its very best.

 

 

* The seat bench frame consisting of forged massive aluminium forms the centre between fuel tank, seat and engine.

 

 

* Unvarnished, raw, good-looking. The R nineT features many brushed aluminium parts creating a pure and authentic look.

 

 

* The beautiful conically connection of the shaped steering damper is a tribute to the art of engineering and the love for design at BMW Motorrad.

 

 

* The optional LED side indicators in white glass give the rear of the nineT a contemporary look, despite use of modern technology.

 

 

* Adjustable rear mono-shock suspension, so give it a turn and adapt your nineT to any road condition quickly and easily.

 

 

* Inverted type muscular front forks with pre-set adjustability. Beautiful and strong forged front mudguard holder.

 

 

* High performance Akrapovic silencer is a feast for the ears.

 

 

*Riding pleasure and safety with ABS.
